Voting rights are under attack!
- The Supreme Court has weakened the Voting Rights Act of 1965
- Republicans in Congress have blocked the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
- Republicans in the House have passed the Save Act, but it has failed to pass the Senate – so far ·
- Maricopa County’s Recorder, Republican Justin Heap removed over 240,000 people from the county’s voter registration list ·
- The Department of Homeland Security is working with Arizona Counties to remove people from voter rolls who they deem as “illegal aliens.”
Be Ballot Ready
- It is important that you periodically verify that you are registered to vote. You can do this by visiting the Arizona Secretary of State’s Arizona Voter Information Portal page or BeBallotReady.vote. While there also confirm that:

- You have submitted the necessary information to document citizenship so you are able to vote in state and local elections

EARLY VOTING MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
Maricopa County’s voter turnout for the 2024 election was 2,078,460, or 80.34% of the 2,587,197 registered voters. Of the total voting, 1,101,584 were early voters.
An early ballot is any ballot distributed to a voter prior to Election Day. For every election, early voting begins 27 days prior to the election.
